Kapteijn Rentmeesters
For this project, I undertook a comprehensive UX redesign of the landing page and overall web design for Kapteijn Rentmeesters, a family-owned stewardship business.
Sustainability
To align with the company’s values, I enhanced the user experience through a thoughtful application of color theory, subtle Lottie animations, and curated imagery showcasing landscapes and stewardship activities. This visual strategy was designed to reflect the company’s commitment to sustainability and its impact on the environment.
Family business
Given the importance of family in the business's identity, I integrated their LinkedIn presence more seamlessly into the website and highlighted the extensive network they’ve cultivated over the years. I also incorporated more personal visuals featuring the Kapteijn family to humanize the brand. SEO optimization was a key focus, achieved through SEO tools and analytics integrated within WordPress to increase discoverability.
Digitalization
As the company pushes towards digital innovation in stewardship practices, particularly in enhancing usability between farmers and their land, I designed a new landing page to underscore these technological advancements. The new layout was crafted to reflect their forward-thinking approach, reinforcing their position as a leader in their field.
To ensure that the redesign effectively resonated with users, I conducted usability testing across a broad spectrum of target users. This process allowed me to assess user interaction, evaluate the site’s information architecture, and ensure that the flow and intent behind the designs were clear and intuitive. The results validated the usability improvements, contributing to a more engaging and seamless user experience.
